A few friends read my blog the other day that suggested sending a gracious no thanks when you’re not interested (I sound like a prissy Miss Manners all of a sudden) in someone who musters up the courage to contact you.
I’ve since been told that doing so can end up with you getting a nasty email back from an offended spurned suitor. Well, so what? If you get an angry email in return, ignore it or block the person. The point is, you did the right thing. That’s all that matters.
Besides, when I probed my friends further they admitted that most people appreciate the honesty and have actually thanked them for being nice enough to reply.
