Truth is, if someone dishonest thinks you’re hot, they’re going to contact you whether you want them to or not. Besides, if they’re dishonest do you honestly think they’ll be honest about it?
There’s no guarantee that you’ll find an honest person but there are ways to protect yourself from players. For one, read a dating profile carefully and make sure that all the information seems to add up. Also, do a few email exchanges and be sure that they’re all consistent in tone and content, and that they too add up with what’s said in the person’s profile. Consistency is key.
Lastly, ask questions. Sometimes you can ask the same question in a different way to see if the answers remain the same.
