This week, I’m critiquing more online dating profiles written by single men and women dating in New York. The critiques are based on my expertise as a copywriter and marketing expert.
I choose dating profiles arbitrarily and then post an excerpt that’s somewhat modified for the sake of anonymity.

This excerpt is from the dating profile of a 46 year old male:
Iam a home owner have one daughter. I like being active /week end trips long ridesin the fall/ sunday dinners. I have no drama in my life and want to keep it that way LOL… I am looking for someone average looks who keeps her self niceI AM NOT INTO ENDLESS E- MAILS. We are adults. Lets meet and see if we clic. Thanks.
My critique
Spell check, spell check, spell check. Seriously, how tough can it be? If you’re not willing to show care when you’re trying to “get the girl”, how much effort will you make if you do get her?
Also, what’s so LOL (note the caps) funny about not wanting drama? More importantly, if you don’t want drama then it’s your job to keep it out of your life and not the job of a virtual stranger.
Thanks for sharing that you aren’t into (again the caps) endless emails Mr. Adult who can’t spell “clic”. Fact is, email exchanges are important for at least two reasons: safety and ice breakers.
