Just a regular meat and potatos guy, divorced, my youngest son is now living with me. I pretty much like most music and enjoy watching games on the tube with the kids. I’m a positive person but worry about how this president is destroying our nation.
My critique.
Huh? How did we go from I like music and TV to the destruction of our nation? I’ve had plenty of clients whose political beliefs were dear enough to them that they wanted to meet someone like-minded. I’m all for being clear about what, essentially, are your values. However, politics and religion are delicate subjects so approach them with finesse and without this kind of dramatic statement.
Also, and what truly matters to me as a writer – segue! Make smooth bridges between subjects. Don’t just go from I love watching games with my kids to our president is ruining us.
