I was scanning a number of online dating profiles today written by men who, according to them, had at least a measure of class. Below you’ll find a brief introduction from me, followed by some the highlights:
After spending several lines addressing what a gentleman he is, this 42-year old man signed off with:
I want to make clear that chemistry matters. I had a sexless marriage for years and I want to meet someone who isn’t just looking for a brother.
This sounded like a regular older guy right up until:
I’m a loyal guy who won’t make love to a hundred women, but I will make love to you a hundred different ways, lol.
From the man who says he has “old school” morals:
I’m an extremely active 52. I like younger women as they can keep up in and out of the bed. No slight to older ladies as I met 55 year olds with sex drives of 22-year olds and yes I know what their drive is like.
My critique.
Men, have some decorum. You’re on a dating site with women who are complete strangers. This is not the place to talk about sex. And, if you’re going to broach the subject, then accept the fact that you’re far from gentlemen. What you are is crass and unsophisticated.
I’ve read references to little blue pills, long french kisses and even “going downtown” (a meaning I had the misfortune of innocently looking up). If you want to attract the fun, good-hearted women you claim you want then you need to be worthy not creepy.
