This is an excerpt from the dating profile of a single man in his early 50’s:
I am a nice, fun, faithful guy looking for the same in a woman. I am bald, partly because I shave my head but also because it’s quite thin and I won’t cover it up with a rug…. LOL
The rest of his dating profile seems in keeping with a nice, fun, faithful guy. The only problem with this dating profile is that 1) he already has photos posted that show he’s bald, so it’s actually redundant to say it 2) there’s no need for him to be even the slightest bit apologetic about his hair, or lack thereof.
Baldness is not a character flaw. It’s simply a physical trait and not one that’s uncommon either.
When you are online dating, always be sure to speak about yourself in a positive way. It’s fine to be self-effacing, but you need to do it in a way that that denotes confidence.
